The opportunity:
The purpose of this role is to manage the Talent Acquisition Team at AIA New Zealand.

As Talent Acquisition manager you will be responsible for the development and driver of our talent acquisition strategy, talent initiatives, programs and supporting the team delivery and execution.

About the role:
Leadership- Develop and deliver the overarching talent acquisition strategy to support the strategic priorities of AIA New Zealand- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists to deliver leading recruitment practices across AIA NZ- Lead, coach and develop capability and succession plans within the Talent Acquisition team. Build a passionate, highly engaged, and focused team of professionals - which leads by example, setting the standard for the business- Continuously review and improve TA processes, policies, strategic partnerships and embedding our internal Talent Operating Model, including documentation of standard operating procedures, looking for opportunities for improvement and value add- Develop and Manage the Alumni Programme- Ensure TA budget is in check with cost monitored, invoices are reviewed and paid, and forecast / accruals are well managed- Ensure all risks relating to TA are understood and well monitored with relevant checks and controls put in place to mitigate and/or reduce risk- Ensure TA Team members all have timely feedback, performance support and coaching when needed
- Customer Relationship Management- Partner with AIA leaders (including HR) to proactively and reactively manage recruitment of vacancies within agreed business units.- Manage in conjunction with Head of People and Culture Business Partnership and Talent key supplier/vendor relationships- Improve and develop a strategic talent mindset through the hiring manager experience- Understand the business needs and build strong relationships with all level stakeholders to be able to design innovative solutions to talent acquisition- Conduct role briefing with hiring managers and set expectations for recruitment process- Conduct interactions with AIA leaders in a timely, professional, and responsive manner- Develop and enhance standard tools to educate managers on our recruitment processes and ensure these are kept up to date- Coach leaders on recruitment practices at every opportunity- Identify & communicate continuous improvement opportunities and strategies for attraction and recruitment of talent.

Talent Attraction and Sourcing strategies-
- Understand workforce planning requirements and future capability requirements- Introduce Internal and external talent sourcing innovation- Act as a brand ambassador for the brand and an Employee Value Proposition- Identify possibilities and leverage market insights to deliver compelling message that conveys the most significant motivators to prospective talent pools- Develop and manage AIA New Zealand Alumni program-
- Develop and maintain an on-demand source of Talent linked to key roles across AIA.- Manage AIA’s employee referral programme.- Assist with Redeployment processes for those identified by the HR Business Partners.- Develop market mapping and market research and proactively use intelligence and information from market maps (once developed)- Keep an active personal profile on Linked in to help promote the AIA’s EVP- Be an advocate for promoting internal talent

Process, Policies and Procedures- Review and improve talent acquisition policies, procedures, and strategic agency partnerships at AIA New Zealand- Lead annual policy review- Own the Third-Party Security Assessment Annual review- Manage ROI / contractual review of all suppliers (Job boards, Agencies etc.)- Identify possibilities and leverage market insights to deliver compelling message that conveys the most significant motivators to prospective national and international talent pools-
- Deliver within agreed timeframes (business SLAs and as per the recruitment plan) and with an awareness of cost, time, and quality drivers- Ensure that all vacancies, progress, and job details are reflected accurately in live time in the ATSAbout you:
- Previous experience leading a recruitment function- Exceptional relationship and communication skills- Financial services industry knowledge not essential- 5+ years in a HR related role.- Ability to coach and mentor colleagues.- HR systems knowledge & experience.- Ability to multitask and work under pressure / show resilience- Experience in high pressure, quick response roles- Proven ability to understand and communicate complex business issues and solutions, verbally and written.
