**Kairuruku - Coordinator**
Manatū Wāhine Ministry for Women is the Government’s principal advisor on improving the lives of wāhine women and kōtiro girls in Aotearoa New Zealand. We provide system leadership, working across government and with stakeholders to improve outcomes for wāhine women and kōtiro girls. **Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**
The purpose of the Kairuruku - Coordinator is to provide general coordination and administration support for the Mana Wāhine Kaupapa Inquiry. Commencing in November 2019, the Mana Wāhine Kaupapa Inquiry formally investigates claims alleging prejudice to wāhine Māori arising from Crown breaches of the Treaty of Waitangi, in both historical and contemporary contexts.
This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your existing administrative skillset to provide high quality support and advice to the Director, wider roopū, Ministry and other key stakeholders as appropriate. As a skilled coordinator you will be able to provide immediate value by supporting and improving administrative outputs. This role will suit someone who is passionate about the Kaupapa of Manatū Wāhine and the work of the inquiry.
**Ko koe tēnei | About you**
- As an expert coordinator you will be confident anticipating the needs of the director and will have experience providing administrative support for senior leadership teams.
- You will have demonstrated experience working with online systems and tools to effectively manage document workflow, data entry and diary management.
- As a collaborative individual you will thrive in an environment where you can proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and engage with kaimahi.
- You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and some te reo proficiency would be advantageous.
- You will have great time management skills, with the ability to evolve with changing priorities.
- You will be comfortable working within a te ao Māori environment and offer an understanding of te tiriti o Waitangi.
