**About the role**:
Our Engagement Advisors are key to putting the community at the heart of our decision-making. The variety of the role means you will develop relationships both within Council and with our communities to ensure consultation is meaningful and decision making is transparent.

Working in our passionate, collaborative team, this role will see you involved in:

- Preparing easy-to-understand information for residents
- Identifying key audiences and meeting with stakeholders and community groups
- Analysing submissions and feedback
- Writing reports for our elected members

**Our ideal applicant will**:

- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification
- Have experience in a communications or engagement role, preferably within local government
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
- Be a collaborative worker, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

**_ Hours: Full-time, permanent position_**

**_ Salary: $79,701 - $94,461_**

**_ Location: Primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street_**
