Maintenance Fitters/engineers Wanted

We have a 2 full time permanent positions for Maintenance Shift Engineers working in our Otahuhu site, for George Weston Foods - TipTop Bakeries.

**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking to fill two positions of Maintenance Engineers (Day and Night-shift) at our manufacturing site at Otahuhu. You will be part of a busy team that provides round-the-clock support to ensure our product is delivered on time. This varied role ensures high quality mechanical engineering services are provided to our plant and equipment as well as supporting production and site activities to optimise productivity and minimise downtime.

Day-Shift Position
- **6.30am to 6.30pm** - **5 on 5 off; 5 on 5 off; 4 on 4 off roster**

Night Shift Position-** 6.30pm to 6.30am** - **5 on 5 off; 5 on 5 off; 4 on 4 off roster**

**Weekend work and Public Holidays are essential.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Partner with our production team and onsite leaders
- Champion high standards of health and safety, as well as food safety and quality practices
- Fault finding and problem-solving
- Identify and implement preventative maintenance opportunities
- Implement improvements to drive operational performance
- Provide general machining, milling and overhaul machine repair work
- Building repair & maintenance services
- Be involved in commissioning new machinery

Skills & Experience:

- qualified in Mechanical/Maintenance engineering
- Proven trade experience within an FMCG environment (at least 5 years’ engineering maintenance - desired)
- demonstrated commitment to and understanding of H&S standards and safe work practices - **essential**.
- a great command of written and spoken English - communication is very important to us and is highly valued in this role
- good understanding of engineering drawings and documentation
