**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced **Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift **for our Ōtāhuhu Bakery. You will be part of a busy team, providing round-the-clock support to ensure our products are delivered in full, and on time. This role is responsible for providing mechanical engineering services, as well as supporting production and site activities to optimise productivity and minimise downtime.
This role is on a 6.30am to 6.30pm - 5 on 5 off; 5 on 5 off; 4 on 4 off roster. Weekend work and Public Holidays are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with our production team and onsite leaders
- Champion high standards of health and safety, as well as food safety and quality practices
- Fault finding and problem-solving
- Identify and implement preventative maintenance opportunities
- Implement improvements to drive operational performance
- Provide general machining, milling and overhaul machine repair work
- Building repair & maintenance services
- Be involved in commissioning new machinery

Key Skills & Experience:
- trade qualified in Mechanical/Maintenance engineering
- minimum of 5 years+ engineering maintenance experience (within a food manufacturing environment - desired)
- fitting, welding and machining skills
- has strong fault-finding skills
- great attention to detail and be results driven
- have a continuous improvement mindset
- able to work independently, as well as be a team player
