**Information Analyst - Ontology**

We have an exciting permanent opportunity in Te Tāhū's Data and Information team. This role is based in Wellington in a large and complex Government agency.

The Information Analyst will play a crucial role in implementing and integrating advanced enterprise information management processes using information governance solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This will involve modelling, and maintaining the enterprise ontology, taxonomies and auto-classification to address business needs and problems, including provision of reports to various business units on their information holdings.

The role is wide ranging and includes input into disposal authority design, authoring of data and information assessments, supporting the management of that process, and training and supporting other initiatives related to information management.

To be successful in the role you will operate effectively in the data and information management environment, and have experience in large and complex organisations, including:

- Proven experience as an information analyst, data analyst or business analyst
- Technical expertise in data models, ontologies, taxonomies, text analysis, indexing and classification
- Working as a member of a Data and Information Management team with an enterprise focus.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organise, analyse and present findings
Problem solving aptitude
- Communicating with a wide range of audiences on a range of complex issues
- Able to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within an organisation and a wide network of professional relationships across organisations.

**Ngā utu mō te kamahi/Salary Range**:
The appointing salary for this role will be between $78,223 and $110,432 based on skills and experience.
