**Job Description**:
As Associate Director, your focus will be on the delivery of projects and tasks, ensuring technical quality and adherence to budget and programme deliverables. You’ll act as technical advisor, providing technical input, advice and guidance to our motivated team and our emerging engineers. You will work directly with clients, expanding your business development and networking skills.Day to day you will be involved in;Leading the input to projects from desk study/feasibility through ground investigation and interpretation to final design, ensuring technical quality and adherence to budget and programmeMaking recommendations on work methods and procedures and technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems in own disciplinePreparing, checking and reviewing a wide range of technical documentsPreparation of fee proposals for external and internal clientsProviding technical advisory advice and guidance to teamProviding input to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet requirementsCollaborating with a number of internal and external clients and will be involved in key stakeholder engagement processes, contributing to the growth of our business

**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
We are looking for an ambitious team player who can demonstrate;Seasoned technical and commercial skills

A wide range of experience, knowledge, and skills in engineering geologyA strong working knowledge of New Zealand ground conditions, ground investigation practice and standards

A rigorous adherence to quality assuranceStrong problem solving and inter-personal skills, working closely and collaboratively with colleagues and clients in a multi-disciplinary environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise technical reports and documents

Accomplished in job mentoring and / or line management of junior team members

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
BSc/MSc in Engineering Geology or Earth ScienceChartered Geologist status is preferable
