**Job Description**:
Reporting to NIFC Manager, you will manage last mile home delivery transport operations covering Noel Leeming, The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery brands nationwide. In this role you will lead the Noel Leeming Group Fleet network (compromising of approx. 130 team members in 7 DC’s across NZ) to meet and exceed safety, service, cost and quality outcomes.

Drawing on your toolkit of skills and proven experience your other key objectives will be:

- Strategic fleet management working alongside TWG procurement function
- Contract manage third party home delivery carriers across all three brands across contractual lifecycle of procurement, execution, review and renewal
- Lead or participate in strategic projects that deliver transformational change to the ‘last mile’ customer delivery experience
- Lead team to support team members to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short
- and long-term performance goals
- Lead a safe and healthy work culture and environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards, procedures and behaviours while complying with legal regulations

**Qualifications**:
The business is at an exciting point in its life story and we are looking for an experienced leader to drive change, lift capability and ultimately, help modernise the transport network. To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven work experience as a transport leader in a large-scale organisation
- Leadership skills and ability to manage leaders of large teams of people in a geographically spread operation
- Expertise in transport management procedures and best practices, ideally in e-commerce environment
- Third party carrier management and contract negotiation experience
- Network planning and fleet management experience
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Ability to think both logically and creatively
- High degree of organisation and a commitment to continuous learning.
