**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

This position leads both engagement and portfolio management of our three networks to support the University’s internationalisation, strategic engagement and research objectives through its global partnerships with universities 21 (U21), the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) and the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN).

The role supports the DVC-SE in representing the University on the Association for Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Board and coordinates UoA’s contribution to the key network meetings (Annual Presidential, Senior Leaders, governance meetings, etc). The role also provides support, where necessary, for the VC, DVC-SE and DVC-R in representing the University in the various networks and other organisations.

This is a 12-month, fixed-term position and is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Remuneration - $94,900 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**

The successful applicant will have worked with a diverse range of stakeholders in a corporate, university or large organisation. Your excellent communication skills will be required to build and establish credibility with a focus on the execution and delivery of international network projects. You will have proven leadership and management experience and a high level of customer service knowledge and expertise.

You will also have the following:

- Demonstrated skills and experience in relationship management and working collaboratively, including with senior staff (VC, C suite) and external partners (MFAT, INZ)
- Excellent communications skills including the ability to represent the university at network meetings
- Commitment to and understanding of Te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Experience developing and implementing processes, systems, and services
- Sound project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a university or international education/research environment
