**About the role | Mo te mahi**

We are looking for a fixed term Senior Reporting and Insights Analyst to develop, deliver, maintain and enhance operational and management reporting across the Canterbury and Recovery groups and wider Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tu Ake (NHC). The role provides end-to-end customer focused service and business reporting and analysis that are complete, timely, accurate and insightful.
- Key relationships and stakeholders are the Reporting and Insights team, The Board and Subcommittees, Chief Executive, the Executive Leadership team and NHC Toka Tu Ake staff
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in the work delivered and engagement with stakeholders and senior management
- Utilise knowledge and expertise to produce high level technical analysis and insightful reporting
- Work with the organisation to continually refine and improve the reporting frameworks and content to ensure linkages are clear and maximum benefit delivered

To be successful in this role you will require the following
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred, or equivalent knowledge acquired by at least 3 years' experience in a similar role
- At least 3 years of experience in the extraction, preparation, and analysis of information from a wide range of source systems
- At least 3 years of experience producing business reporting and insights for senior managers
- Able to prepare reports that translate complex data into easy-to-understand information and insightful content
- Excellent numerical skills coupled with high levels of numerical accuracy
- Well-developed written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise effectively at all levels and influence decisions
- The ability to build strong working relationships and effectively manage expectations and requests from various stakeholders
