The Three Waters Reform Portfolio has been created to provide leadership and delivery of three programmes of work to support the Council with Three Waters Reform.

A portfolio approach has been adopted to ensure support for staff, alignment with Council strategic needs, government portfolio/programme/project standards and effective delivery of transition deliverables. The three current identified programmes of work are
- Transition to the new Water Service Entity
- Water Service Entity structure setup and governance
- Non-transition Council services

In this role, you will be the financial guru in the Water Reform Programme team providing financial, planning and performance monitoring support to ensure the successful delivery of the programme and transition to the new water entity.

Specifically, you will;
- Provide timely and accurate financial and non-financial information and advice, together with analysis and commentary to enable decisions making.
- Drive consistent implementation of finance policy and standards.
- Provide reporting and advice that assists the programme to accurately assess current performance and opportunities to improve it.
- Working with the finance unity to help with the analysis of financial data for requests from National transition unit(NTU).
- Provide financial modelling for analysis of post transition impact on Council.

This is a significant and important programme of work so we are looking for someone with the relevant qualifications and practical experience in general accounting functions including working with budgets, variance analysis, and reporting. You will also thrive on building new relationships and working with others to achieve outcomes.

**Additional information**:

- Hours of work_ - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Location_ - This position is primarily based at the Christchurch City Council Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street

Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
