(CHL) is a busy diagnostic facility providing services to inpatients and
outpatients at Te Whatu Ora Health NZ Waitaha Canterbury Hospitals within Christchurch.

**The Role**: Where
you fit in
We - re looking for an experienced leader to
join us as a Supervisor for our Phlebotomy Services. You - ll have proven ability
to lead and motivate your team while supporting them through changes within our
laboratory and healthcare environment. We have a large team of phlebotomists
and trainees who are passionate about providing quality care to patients
Ideally you should have phlebotomy experience, but we are open to
someone who is looking to learn about phlebotomy.
This is a full-time opportunity (40hrs per week),
Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. There is some flexibility for the right
occasion.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Delivering a high-quality service to clients and patients
- Ensuring all staff are appropriately trained and supervised where

required
- Ensuring that the facility meets the IANZ laboratory accreditation
requirements
- Maintaining quality initiatives and monitor outcomes
- Collaborating with clients of the Phlebotomy service
- Supervising and manage staff as well as relevant HR processes and
policies
- The maintenance of equipment and the purchase of supplies
- Implementing and maintaining safety programmes and proceduresYour skills will include:

- Ideally you should have phlebotomy and/or laboratory experience
- Knowledge of a Blood Collection Service or Medical Laboratory

Operation
- Phlebotomy qualification is desirable
- Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand is
essential
- Interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Proven experience to lead and motivate a team
- The ability to embrace change while supporting a team to manage a
