We're looking for a technically capable and customer-focused Technical Lead to join our team in Canterbury to support product integration, quoting, and technical advice across the South Island. This role plays a key part in enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting business growth by working closely with our Technical and Commercial teams.
You'll be hands-on, detail driven and enthusiastic about learning our products, supporting customers, and contributing to continuous improvement across technical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and commercial support to the existing team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Hydroflow products
- Support the integration of new products into existing customer channels
- Assist with sales quoting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Troubleshoot technical issues as part of the South Island team
- Support on-site customer visits, training and product demonstrations as required
- Contribute to improving technical processes, documentation and training materials
- Assist with product testing and evaluation prior to new product launches
- Support trade shows and industry events
- Provide technical input into product development based on customer feedback
- Assist in preparing and delivering technical presentations and training
- Support relationship management with key customers alongside the National Sales Manager
- Participate in sales meetings to align technical support with sales objectives
- Maintain accurate customer records and assist with monthly regional reporting
- Promote teamwork and contribute positively to Hydroflow's reputation across the region

- A technical background or strong aptitude for understanding products and systems
- Experience supporting sales teams with technical advice, quoting or product integration
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Confident written and verbal communication
- A proactive, enthusiastic and energetic approach to work
- The ability to build strong, sustainable relationships with customers and colleagues
- A high level of integrity and professionalism
