**Ngā Aramahi me te Hoahoa Haumi**: Careers & Investment Design Directorate
The Careers & Investment Design Directorate (CIDD) is responsible for developing strategies, initiatives and policies that enable the organisation to effectively and efficiently meet its goals in the areas of careers and investment.
All teams in the directorate are focused on work that develops, leads or contributes to the design of these strategies, initiatives and policies. They are responsible for developing the interventions and plans off those strategies, and then marketing and communicating the integrated view of what TEC wants to achieve. The basis of our work is the horizontal work model and so the CIDD teams work in partnership with teams from other directorates so the design and commissioning of new products and initiatives is a collaborative process that ensures successful implementation and delivery.

**He angitūtanga**: About the Role
Reporting to the Manager - Careers this role leads the team responsible for the delivery of the National Careers System Strategy and initiatives.
- Manage a team contributing to the current strategy implementation and priorities, and delivery any new initiatives/products that are required by the organisation. Develop and implement team workplans.
- Maintain strong relationships across the Careers system to build influence to achieve outcomes.
- Lead the design and development of operational policy, frameworks, tools and rules, and implementation guidance.
- Use your extensive knowledge and expertise to lead major pieces of work/portfolios of work across the team and TEC.

**He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for**:
This role requires a mix of leadership, strategic, relationship and analytical skills to establish the new careers system strategy.
You will be responsible for seven direct reports (4x permanent and 3x fixed-term) We are seeking an experienced leader who can develop a high-performance team culture and knows how to effectively commission work and allocate resources. You will bring the following:

- 3+ years solif experience managing a team
- Experience taking a strategy from a concept into implementation, preferably on a national scale.
- Strong relationship builder, can demonstrate experience leading collaboration with multiple stakeholders to solve complex problems or achieve a common goal
- Ideally some experience with digital product development and delivery (web and multi-channel)
- Ideally some experience and knowledge of the Careers System, career development theory and best practice.

The salary range for this position starts from $135,690 up to $159,635+ depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
