**What will you be doing?**

Tower is on a journey to embed sustainability across our business, and has created this new, exciting opportunity.

Reporting to our Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, the Sustainability Manager will guide Tower's leaders and staff to help protect what Kiwi and Pacific people love sustainably.

Working strategically towards fully integrating and embedding sustainability into Tower's day-to-day operations, you will enable us to manage our impacts on people and the planet. You'll ensure we continually improve our performance and take actions that are grounded in science and contribute meaningfully towards New Zealand and Pacific societies.

**What you'll need**

As Sustainability Manager you will have a lead role in helping Tower on its journey to becoming a leader in sustainability.

**To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following**:

- 5 to 10 years demonstrated technical and sustainability project management experience in a corporate organisation or within a consulting environment
- Proven experience in establishing and embedding internal systems and processes to integrate and align good organisational practices for ESG and sustainability
- Experience leading and inspiring cross functional teams to deliver outcomes
- Experience delivering or being part of a team to deliver Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) preferred
- Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry preferred
- Strong understanding of ESG issues and sustainability
- Organisational development and change relating to ESG and sustainability
- Understanding of latest climate science and the ability to consider how this may impact Tower's business
- Technical knowledge of and experience in delivering ESG reporting frameworks (GRI and
), including climate-related financial disclosures
