Right now, we are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to join our busy team on a 12 month, fixed term basis. The role is based mainly at our Dunsandel manufacturing site, with the option to work from our Christchurch city office at times.

The focus of this role is to lead the Learning and Development Centre of Expertise for Synlait. You will take responsibility for leading a small team in the design and delivery of quality learning and development solutions that meet individual and organisational needs. We want you to own, develop, and drive a dynamic plan focused on ensuring a highly capable workforce with the skills to meet the organisation’s strategic direction.

We will value your experience in conducting assessments, identifying skills/knowledge gaps, and recommending solutions. Key to your success will be your ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, along with setting clear direction, performance standards and expectations.

**Qualification**
- A tertiary qualification in Adult Education, Human Resource management, Organisational Development, or related discipline

**Skills & Experience**
- 7+ years’ experience of Learning and Development experience including developing, implementing, and delivering training
- Previous exposure to and experience with competency and capability frameworks
- Experience working in the manufacturing sector (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering learning strategies.
- Experience in planning and executing learning and development projects.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering presentation, learning and development programmes and facilitating groups for a wide audience.
- Solid leadership skills with demonstrated ability to engage and influence others and provide direction
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting, including the ability to recommend and monitor metrics for the achievement of ongoing improvement.
