Te Mahau | Te Tai Runga is a frontline group. Our frontline groups collectively provide leadership and integrated services to the sector and others. This includes services such as learning support, education advice, regulation and network functions for schools and early learning services. We do this through coordinating and delivering responsive solutions in order to realise the local education priorities and goals.

**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | **About this role**

The Senior Education Adviser Early Learning (Contracts) develops and implements projects to increase early childhood education participation by children from target populations in areas where participation is low and manages professional development opportunities for early childhood services to ensure quality provision.

This includes managing Strengthening Early Learning Opportunities (SELO) contracts, targeted assistance for participation (TAP) contracts and other initiatives.

- A relevant qualification
- Contract management experience
- A knowledge and understanding of the NZ education system
- An understanding of te reo Māori ona tikanga
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively across a diverse range of settings
- A solutions and values-based approach

- Build trusting relationships and work confidently and effectively with providers, kura, iwi, rūnanga and other stakeholders
- Understand the barriers to engagement and find solutions
