**About the Role**

Due to an internal promotion, we now have an opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join our recycling facility in Penrose, Auckland.

In this busy, production-environment, you will lead a small team, as well as maintain supervisory oversight of plant and equipment ensuring efficient and effective operational results are achieved.

This is a very hands-on role and a great opportunity to grow the business and the team in the future.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Co-ordinating the sorting of all recyclable material such as but not limited to; plastic, cardboard and film using appropriate equipment
- Providing supervision and guidance to the team throughout the shift
- Operating all mobile machinery and fixed plant equipment (e.g. forklift, front end loader and bailer) and directing others in such tasks
- Performing maintenance and/or safety checks on equipment
- Undertaking and/or supervising cleaning duties as required, ensuring a high standard of housekeeping is always maintained
**About you**

The person we are looking for will be a good communicator both verbal and written, you may have led a team previously, but you are able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

In addition to being physically fit and able to think on your feet, we are also looking for someone with the following skills and attributes:

- A current and full NZ Driver’s licence with Wheels & Forklift endorsements
- Previous experience managing a team
- A competent user of MS Office and Excel
- You have excellent time management skills and a good work ethic
- Experience in a production environment, waste or other processing industry is an advantage
