Te Tari Taake Inland Revenue plays a critical role in improving the economic and social wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand. We do this by collecting and distributing money - we collect 80% of the Crown’s revenue and distribute social support payments.

CCS Planning, Design and Delivery (PDD) was recently established as a new business area as part of the final design of IR’s future operating model.

CCS PDD plans, prioritises, designs, and implements changes to New Zealand’s core tax system and related business processes. We support the tax system millions of New Zealanders interact with and rely on every day.

**Mō te roopu | About the team**

This role is part of the Digital and Customer Experience domain of CCS PDD with a focus on our externally facing digital services, myIR and Gateway Services. Those successful in these roles will work alongside our vendor FAST Enterprises in all phases of the implementation and configuration of New Zealand’s tax system.

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

In this role you will:

- Participate in the implementation of FAST’s commercial off the shelf IT product (Gentax) for government revenue agencies.
- Define the technical solution and document system specification for project delivery.
- Configure the technical solution using Gentax tools and FAST’s proprietary software as part of solution delivery.
- Assist with system unit testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing by troubleshooting technical and process errors, reworking solution if necessary, and communicating the result effectively to the client and testers.
- Provide technical triage of production issues, defining new solution and coordinating with the production support team to deliver weekly software fixes to production environment.
- Perform various planned system maintenance tasks to provide quality assurance and system stability for the client’s ongoing operation.
- Create and execute Quality assurance processes for integration development.

- Ideally possess a degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Mathematics.
