Te Tari Taake Inland Revenue plays a critical role in improving the economic and social wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand. We do this by collecting and distributing money - we collect 80% of the Crown’s revenue and distribute social support payments.

CCS Planning, Design and Delivery (PDD) was recently established as a new business area as part of the final design of IR’s future operating model.

CCS PDD plans, prioritises, designs, and implements changes to New Zealand’s core tax system and related business processes. We support the tax system millions of New Zealanders interact with and rely on every day.

**Mō te roopu | About the team**

This role is part of the Digital and Customer Experience domain of CCS PDD with a focus on our externally facing digital services, myIR and Gateway Services. Those successful in these roles will work alongside our digital teams and constructively advocate for our external users within Inland Revenue decisions.

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

In this role you will:

- Leading pieces of work, having the skills, knowledge, and experience to be able to work through complex information and challenge thinking to deliver work that will instigate conversations and enable decisions.
- Bridge our data and design activities to maximise outcomes initiatives through a deep understanding of digital channel performance.
- develop a thorough understanding of our customer and partners use of digital channels providing relevant information back to the business
- Provide reporting and insights that supports Inland Revenue’s digital strategy
- Regular monitoring of our existing analytics

**Mōu | About you**

We are looking for people who are:

- Strong team players who are keen to work with others on complex issues
- Advanced knowledge of querying and analysing data using tools such as - Azure, SQL Server, Splunk, or Snowflake.
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools - PowerBI or Data Studio
- Strong data and analytical skills, with the ability to present analysis in an easy-to-understand way
- A curious outlook with a desire to learn and grow is essential
- Communication master able to interpret and relay complex information in a concise, meaningful, and easy to understand way.
