Reporting into the Chief Digital & Technology Officer in this role you will work closely with the Digital Leadership Team to enable effective planning of our delivery portfolio, enabling prioritisation and effective decision making for leadership. The role will also work across UC in guiding continuous improvement in Digital Services P3M3 practices and tooling. This will include supporting and coaching project leaders and sponsors to ensure compliance with standards based on good practices as appropriate based on the scale and complexity of their initiatives.
**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**
As Head of Delivery & Performance you are responsible for the Digital Services P3M3 practice and related team. The role will also lead the definition and reporting framework for Digitals overall performance, measuring both our progress against Digitals Master Plan goals but also key service measures that matter most to our staff and students at UC. Leveraging the entire team as well as the wider Product and Platform leaders, this role will orchestrate our delivery planning 'heartbeat' of regular events, bringing teams together to share plans, resolve conflicts and identify risks. This includes a key role in elevating and engaging UC in regularly showcasing our quarterly progress and the priorities for the quarter ahead.
Digital Services works together as one team to deliver our transformative programme of work, utilizing a standard approach and framework, delivered through quarterly increment planning aligned with annual and tri-annual financial and strategic planning cycles. This role will be centrally accountable for facilitating and seeking to continuously improve Digitals overall portfolio planning.
**Mōu | Who You Are**
Holding the relevant qualifications of Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or related IT field (NZQA Level 7) and Prince2/MSP/LEAN practitioner qualification or equivalent, you will have significant (10+ year') experience and skills in project delivery, including portfolio/programme management or consulting, ideally having worked in both the public and private sector. You will have extensive practical experience in use of agile frameworks (Scrum, KanBan, Scrumban, SAFe), and also be an experienced people leader.
You will feel confident managing complex, multifaceted projects/portfolios across multiple departments and customers and have the ability to set priorities and adapt to changes in a quick, professional manner. Advanced planning and forecasting skills, with demonstrated ability to take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, financial tracking and forecasting is an area of expertise for you.
Importantly you are able to demonstrate highly developed stakeholder management skills, adept to navigate through complexity, at pace, with a natural ability to manage compelling priorities and be a natural influential communicator with a growth mindset.
