In response to growing demand for quality used vehicles, New Zealand's leading transport provider, Sime Darby Motors (NZ) Ltd, is opening a dedicated used vehicle sales facility in a central Auckland location.

Reporting to the General Manager - Retail; this is an opportunity to be a part of building a business from the ground up, into a successful and profitable used car facility. The role will involve proactively establishing customer and supplier relationships in order to get the business up and running, and once established, ongoing management of the dealership.

If you are experienced in wholesale and retail pricing of used vehicles and the marketing of these through to new and existing client bases, this may be the opportunity for you.

The successful applicant will demonstrate sound communication and networking skills and a passion for customer service, alongside proven success in a role of similar scope. You will be a true self-starter and will display an ability to manage your workload effectively.

Working with the project management team, you will develop a positive high performing sales environment where the teams strive to exceed sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

- Developing long lasting relationships with suppliers and customers alike
- Managing a team of sales executives to ensure sales targets are achieved through maximising direct selling time
- Market and position the used vehicles facility as Auckland's premier used vehicle dealership, through the delivery of exceptional customer service
- Working to budget and sales targets

To ensure your success in this role:

- You will be an experienced sales executive or sales manager with a proven track record in used car sales who can lead the team by example
- You will have an established network in the industry, particularly with distributors and wholesalers
- Your relationship building, communication, negotiating and problem solving will be outstanding
