**Capability and Outcomes Specialist (L2)**

The Policy and Regulatory Stewardship (PaRS) team is looking for a Capabilities and Outcome Specialist (L2) to join our team.

**Ara Whiwhi Mahi **| The Opportunity**

The Capability and Outcomes Specialist (L2) will support the Programme Lead and Management Support with the prioritisation, planning, approval, and monitoring of the PaRS work plan and individual policy and remedial projects. The role will provide a range of services to stakeholders within PaRS, including:

- Monitor the status of the work plan and each policy, regulatory stewardship, and remedial project - both a portfolio and project view
- Assist the PaRS leadership team develop regular management and governance reporting that will maximise the value of data collected
- Working with leaders to plan and report on performance outcomes
- Identifying resource requirements, interdependencies, and opportunities within PaRS, and across IR, to deliver on work plans
- Identifying emerging trends and providing thought leadership to refine existing approaches, while seeking innovative solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations
- Designing and improving PaRS’ planning and performance monitoring and reporting approaches, using fit for purpose, adaptable frameworks, and tools
- Work with PaRS leaders to continually improve data and process management, as well as business performance metrics.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

- Based on decision-makers’ needs, provide advice and analysis to support planning and performance reporting, from strategic to the operational level
- Create and deliver timely, meaningful reporting, demonstrating your workforce planning and overall decision-making capabilities
- Using your contacts and insights, develop solutions for stakeholders to aid and enhance their decision-making
- Manage and monitoring project outcomes, risks, and opportunities, then proactively make recommendations and deliver these to support better business outcomes
- Build strong relationships and work in a networked manner within PaRS and across IR, the ability to drive a process with a range of stakeholders.
- Develop and implement solutions in line with organisational approaches, and continuously improve process and system performance.

PaRS advises Government on a range of tax and social policy issues. We research and develop policy options and present policy recommendations to senior officials and ministers. We also prepare the legislation arising from those policy recommendations and support it through the legislative process.
