 ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People and Capability Advisor to support the delivery of people-focused initiatives across our business. If you have a passion for helping others, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow in the world of HR—this could be your perfect opportunity.

You'll play an important role in supporting a variety of HR functions, helping to ensure our processes are efficient, compliant, and effectively managed. From recruitment and onboarding to maintaining employee records and supporting training initiatives, you'll gain broad exposure across the People & Capability space.

Location:  Auckland or Tauranga

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities 

 You'll work closely with managers, team leaders, and the People & Capability team to provide guidance, support, and day-to-day coordination of HR processes. This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll grow your knowledge and capability while making a real contribution. 

  • Providing advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Coordinating employment documentation, onboarding, and exit processes
  • Supporting performance reviews, staff development, and training initiatives
  • Assisting with disciplinary matters and ensuring fair, consistent outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, HR systems, and reporting
  • Supporting apprenticeships and national training programmes
  • Contributing to people projects and continuous improvement efforts

What You Bring

  • 2 years+ experience in HR
  • Understanding of NZ employment legislation
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Confidence with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • A learning mindset and a genuine interest in people and culture
