Te Puni Kōkiri is looking for a** Pou Whirinaki Pakihi | Business Manager**to join the Office of the Deputy Secretary, Regions tīma**.** This role is full time, fixed term for 12 months (to cover a secondment period) and based in Te Tari Matua, Pōneke | National Office, Wellington.

We're looking for a high-performing Business Manager to provide expert business administration and management support to the Regions Puni. Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, this role is pivotal in driving planning, financial oversight, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating key information and issues for the Deputy Secretary.
- Offering forward-thinking advice on governance and operational needs.
- Providing administrative and secretarial support, including travel and correspondence.
- Leading planning and financial management in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Management of one direct report.
This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys making a meaningful impact across a wide range of business functions.
The likely appointment range is $104,317 - $116,907 based on skills and experience. This will be pro rated for the period of the fixed term.

**Mōu | About you**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years' recent experience in Business Administration or a related field within the public sector.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Management, Social Policy, Public Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Understanding of te ao Māori and some fluency in te reo Māori, or a willingness to learn.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality delivery.
- Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi's relevance to the work.
- Project management experience is highly desirable.
