**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The Senior Advisor is a national level role and is the next most senior security SME to the Group Manager of Protective Services. The Senior Advisor provides expert advice and support to the Group Manager on all aspects of protective security, including:
- developing and implementing assurance and compliance monitoring systems to ensure compliance with the New Zealand government's Protective Security Requirements (PSR) and international healthcare security best practice.
- developing, implementing, and monitoring a Protective Security Management System and framework.
- informing the Group Manager's development of a protective security strategy, Security Master Plan, and security Programme.
- providing high-level guidance and advice over the organisations Integrated Security System in response to identified protective security risks.
- influencing behaviour and culture to develop a robust security culture within the organisation through the development of education, awareness, and training content and Programmes.
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Substantial years of experience (in the range of 20+ years) within the security industry, preferably with a background in the Police, Military, or private security industry sectors with at least 5 years in the private sector.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining comprehensive security programmes for large national, corporate, or international organisations.
- Experience in incident and emergency response and/or management.
