At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whānau.

We help shape the policies, settings and performance of the education system for early learning, schooling and tertiary. We do this by building relationships and understanding the needs of those who receive our services.

**About our group and team**

Te Pae Aronui was established within Te Mahau as part of a wider change to provide the education sector with support and services that are more locally responsive, more accessible, and more integrated. Te Pae Aronui provides the service design, data insights, regulation, learning and other support our three frontline Te Mahau regional teams, and ākonga rely on.

The Student Wellbeing Measures Project team is focused on working alongside ākonga, families, the education sector and the community to understand student wellbeing, develop a measurement mechanism and use this knowledge to inform responses and interventions to enhance the learning experience of students across schools and kura in Aotearoa.

**Mō tēnei tūranga | About these roles**

We are looking for four advisors/senior advisors to join our team for 12 months.

One Advisor/Senior Advisor role will be focused on building and developing our capability to partner and work alongside ākonga, whānau, hapu, iwi. You will bring life to our aspiration to strengthen the place of Māori knowledge, culture and language in our project mahi and support the voice of ākonga and their whānau to shape their learning experience.

One Advisor/Senior Advisor role will be focused on building relationships and working alongside specific groups to further our understanding of the learning experience of students who identify as Pacific People, are disabled, come from non-English speaking or refugee groups and those who identify as LGBTIQ+. You will bring your considerable knowledge, networking and facilitation skills to ensure the voices of students, and their families, as represented through these groups are heard as we work towards plan goals.

One Advisor role will be focused on supporting the project data collation and tool development processes. You will be primarily responsible for providing a point of connection, liaising with, and providing advice to, our external procured providers; co-ordinating and over-seeing related project components and providing feedback and advice to the project team to ensure timelines and tasks are completed.

You will be working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining mutual partnerships and relationships and holding the student and their family at the core of your work. You will demonstrate strong respect and regard for our stakeholders at all times, upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your engagements and evidencing Ministry values in action.
