**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Procurement, Supply Chain & Health Technology Management (PSC&HTM) operate in a range of workplaces across the motu, from which various functions are provided to support Te Whatu Ora to achieve its strategic direction. These include some high-risk Health, Safety and Wellness functions, such as Supply Chain, which undertake activities such as working from height, handling dangerous goods and operating in an environment with heavy machinery. Strong Health, Safety and Wellbeing practice within PSC&HTM is essential for the safety and wellbeing of our workforce. The Operational Health, Safety and Wellness Risk Leader will provide independent and objective operational Health, Safety and Wellness risk leadership and assurance services to PSC&HTM by bringing a systematic approach to evaluating, implementing, and improving the effectiveness of risk management and internal control processes within PSC&HTM.

You will be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including those with a strategic or operational focus.

**Ka kawea e koe | You will bring**:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in OHSW, supporting work programmes to lift HSW capability and culture to promote and deliver a ‘thriving' workforce.
- Excellent understanding of the Health & Safety at Work Act (and regulations) 2015 and HSW frameworks, including the identification and management of HSW risk.
- At least five years in a relevant PSC&HTM environment is desirable.
- Experience working in a health context and in complex organisations is desirable. This experience would likely be gained over a five-year timeframe.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
