Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our highly successful team of professionals at Westcon-Comstor, based in Auckland.

This is a unique opportunity to lead national account sales and develop strategic partnerships with our largest customers.

Your role will involve setting direction for key accounts, developing and executing customer account plans, pipeline management, and sales forecasting.

Main Responsibilities
  • National account lead: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and increase revenue from key accounts.
  • Set strategic direction for key accounts: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish sales targets, identify opportunities, and develop account plans.
  • Develop and execute customer account plans, pipeline management, and sales forecasting: Analyze customer needs, develop targeted sales strategies, and manage the sales pipeline to achieve revenue goals.
  • Lead a virtual team: Oversee the performance of regional teams, providing guidance and support to ensure delivery of sales objectives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' sales and account management experience, with proven success: Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth, expand customer relationships, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Experience in the technology sector (IT sales experience) and the industry: In-depth knowledge of the technology market, including products, services, and industry trends.
  • Significant contacts in the technology sector in the NZ market: Established relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors.
Desirable Skills and Qualities
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust, rapport, and strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong prospecting skills: Identifying new business opportunities, developing targeted sales strategies, and closing deals.
  • Strong business acumen: Understanding of pricing, gross profit, discounts, margin calculations, and ability to apply this knowledge to drive sales growth.
