Job Description

The Director of Enterprise Sales will be responsible for developing profitable transactional and managed transportation business by identifying sales opportunities, closing the sale, and building long-lasting customer relationships in a competitive, fast-paced industry. This includes expanding overall business through business development with new customers, managing relationships with existing customers, capturing and communicating our unique value to customers, planning, and executing all sales and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and expand the account base
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
  3. Capture and communicate our unique value to customers
  4. Work with Pricing Analysts and the Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with prospective new customers

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. 5+ years of outside sales/business development experience within Freight Brokerage and Managed Transportation
  2. Mode of Transportation (Reefer, Dry Van, TL) Produce and refrigerated & ambient food products
  3. Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  4. Regional and National accounts experience
  5. Strong Selling and closing capabilities
  6. Sales performance Metrics (KPI's, Client development)
  7. Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  8. Computer Skills (Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  9. Education: College Graduate
  10. Residence: Remote East Coast

Preferred Qualifications

We also welcome experience in temperature-controlled transportation i.e. produce and freight management software.

  1. Advanced Financial Knowledge
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
