About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our dynamic team at Waikato Hospital. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the Older Persons and Rehabilitation wards, ensuring that individuals and families receive the highest level of care and support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Advocating for clients' rights and connecting them to essential resources to ensure their well-being and stability.
- Providing immediate support in crisis situations and connecting clients to emergency resources.
- Working with professional organisations to create a network for clients and provide holistic care.
About the Team
The Social Work team is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team at Waikato Hospital. We work closely with clients/whānau during difficult times, providing emotional support and guidance. Our team covers various health services, including Medicine, Surgery, and Community Health.
