Company Overview

The New Zealand Ministry Of Economic Development is responsible for the selection and resettlement of refugees under the Refugee Quota Programmes. The objective of the programme is to provide a safe haven and resettle refugees who have been referred by the UNHCR, in line with New Zealand's national, international and humanitarian obligations and commitments.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IPTO to join our team based in Mangere. The successful candidate will work with the IPTO team to deliver the approved Refugee Quota Programmes by engaging in planning regional composition, projecting quota needs and arranging documentation. This includes health screening, negotiating and coordinating travel logistics with offshore authorities across all departure countries and onward travel to settlement regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning regional composition and projecting quota needs

  • Negotiating and coordinating travel logistics with offshore authorities
  • Providing mentoring, guidance and training to the IPTO team

Requirements

  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and manage high workloads
  • Proven experience in a role requiring a high level of service
  • Demonstrate a strong technical understanding and expertise of data integration
  • Proven experience in delivery of service to a wide range of stakeholders and working collaboratively
  • Sound communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sensitivity to individual, gender and cultural differences in colleagues and clients
  • Ability to discreetly deal with confidential information
