Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Immigration Processing and Travel Officer to join our team. This 12-month fixed term position will be based in Mangere, Auckland.

Main Responsibilities

  • To deliver the approved Refugee Quota Programmes by engaging in planning regional composition, projecting quota needs and arranging documentation;
  • Health screening, negotiating and coordinating travel logistics with offshore authorities across all departure countries and onward travel to settlement regions;
  • Providing mentoring, guidance and training to the IPTO team to ensure quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise and manage high workloads in sometimes challenging situations and to meet deadlines;
  • Proven experience in a role requiring a high level of service;
  • Demonstrate a strong technical understanding and expertise of data integration;
  • Proven experience in delivery of service to a wide range of stakeholders and working collaboratively;
  • Sensitivity to individual, gender and cultural differences in colleagues and clients;
  • Ability to discreetly deal with confidential information;
  • Cultural competency and effective communication across a variety of cultural groups.

Salary and Benefits

This position comes with a salary range of $60,727 - $70,625 per year. In addition to your salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
