About the Role

Ambury and Mutukaroa Regional Parks are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Southern Sector Parks Team as a Park Ranger. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enabling safe and enjoyable outdoor recreation and education experiences in regional park settings while conserving and protecting natural and cultural heritage resources.

The successful candidate will work closely with our tight-knit team to coordinate conservation work across three parks, including Ambury Regional Park, Mutukaroa/Hamlin's Hill Regional Park, and Puketutu Island- Te Motu a Hiaroa. You will also support volunteers in achieving conservation goals, establish strong relationships with stakeholders and the wider community, and play a vital role in educational programs.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong conservation skills, including pest control and threatened species management, revegetation programs, and protecting natural and cultural heritage. You will also have proven success in conservation outcomes and an appreciation for managing recreation in ecologically significant spaces.
