Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Environmental Operations Coordinator to join our team in the Auckland Marine District. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for developing 'mission critical' planning and logistics to drive your colleague's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing and maintaining accuracy while working towards fixed deadlines.
  • Support the Marine Protection Rangers with the management of compliance cases, tracking vessel maintenance, and staff training.
  • Monitor and report on existing permissions, advising the Senior Ranger and Operations Manager as needed.
  • Provide input on concession and permit applications, ensuring they align with DOC's conservation objectives.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in report writing.
  • Familiarity with conservation legislation and management practices.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and work on weekends/public holidays as required.
