Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead and manage our team of service engineers. If you have a proven track record in people management, mechanical/technical background, and excellent communication skills, we'd love to hear from you. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that your team performs with a strong customer-orientated mindset, develops competence through training, and secures a strong QHSE culture.

Key Responsibilities
• Leadership: Provide direction and guidance to the team to ensure they perform with a strong customer-orientated mindset.
• Talent Development: Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports to secure a proper competence development through internal and external trainings.
• Team Utilization: Ensure that engineers with the correct skills are utilized for relevant jobs.
• Performance Management: Conduct employee reviews, including competence profile and skills matrix updates, and performance development plans when required.
• Issue Resolution: Manage performance issues within the team appropriately and quickly.
• Business Improvement: Identify opportunities for business improvement and implement changes to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams and Service Operation management in service transformation initiatives.

Requirements
Previous people management experience preferred. Mechanical/technical background/knowledge. Exceptional communication skills. Ability to remain agile in a fast-moving environment. Sound knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation and best practice. Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
