Your Role:

In this exciting opportunity, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the university's procurement strategy and driving value across various services. As a key member of the Financial Services team, you will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement innovative procurement solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute best practice procurement strategies to drive value and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement large-scale procurement initiatives.Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal outcomes.Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate agreements to meet business needs.Provide expert advice and mentoring to senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will have at least 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a higher education or research environment. You will also possess a bachelor's degree in management, procurement, or a relevant field and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). Additionally, you will have strong relationship-building skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a thorough understanding of current market conditions and business needs.
