Job Overview

MRC Global, the leading global distributor of pipe, valve, and fitting products and services, is seeking a Procurement and Inventory Specialist to join our team in Christchurch. This is a challenging opportunity to play a key role in managing inventory levels, optimizing procurement processes, and improving supplier relationships.

Main Accountabilities
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stockholding and minimize waste.
  • Develop and implement efficient procurement processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to secure competitive pricing and improve quality.
  • Work closely with Sales teams to understand market trends and customer needs, and provide input into sales forecasts.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies and goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven individual with a background in procurement and inventory management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
