We are looking for a Senior Sales Strategist to lead our sales team in New Zealand. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies at a group level, as well as individual hotel level.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for all New Zealand hotels across sales contracted market segments
  • Work in conjunction with the Global sales team to deliver set goals and maximise inbound and outbound business into TFE Hotels locally and globally

The ideal candidate will have strong relationship building skills to maximise conversion and sales performance, leadership skills to develop and grow the sales team, and an ability to navigate and understand complex stakeholder environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, implement and review sales strategies for each hotel
  • Conduct needs analysis to determine areas requiring particular focus
  • Identify new opportunities across the network of hotels in New Zealand
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Set goals and expectations for the Sales team and monitor their performance
  • Manage top corporate, travel agent and key partnerships relationships

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the communication of sales activities with key stakeholders, preparing weekly and monthly sales reports, and providing high-level training to ensure the team is delivering a seamless turnover from sales to operations.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in hotel management or related business course
  • Minimum of seven to ten years of experience in a senior Hotel sales capacity
  • Prior experience in the development and execution of sales strategies at a group level and also individual hotel level
  • Strong relationship building skills to maximise conversion and sales performance
  • Leadership skills to develop and grow sales team
