Job Description
The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is an integral part of the Habit Health Group, providing confidential services to employees across various work-life issues. As a dedicated Counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering short-term interventions, focusing on mental health matters such as couples counselling, addiction, trauma, child and adolescent counselling, and grief management.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver focused interventions to help clients develop coping mechanisms for work and life challenges
- Visit worksites to provide support after event disruptions
- Offer counselling services via in-person, video, and telehealth modalities
- Provide training to customer employees on mental health awareness and intervention techniques

Requirements
- Strong sense of empathy and sensitivity
- Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB, or NZCCATertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification
- Experience in psychological first aid, couples counselling, and working with children and teenagers is desirable
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models such as SFT, CBT, and FACT is beneficial
