About the Role

The Community Support Worker is an integral part of any healthcare team, assisting in delivering and supporting service users to maintain mental health and wellness. We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide practical support to those who access our service and collaborate with clinical staff to deliver effective mental health care.

  • Provide support to tangata whaiora who access our service
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to deliver services
  • Work under the guidance and supervision of a registered health professional

About the Team

The Rural North Sector provides secondary care mental health services across the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki region. Our base is at the Manaaki Centre in Thames, with outreach clinics located in several other towns. We enjoy close relationships with local NGO and PHO partners, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey
  • Experience upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to complete documentation
  • A current full driver's license
  • Proven experience working in mental health and addiction services
