Service Overview: Capital Health Careers' Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service (ICAFS) provides assessment and intervention services for 0-18 year olds with moderate to severe mental health needs and their whanau. Our service utilises the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) model of treatment, which focuses on empowering clients and their families through collaborative decision-making. We operate two multidisciplinary teams, Tautawhi and Kaiarahi, working together to deliver individual, whanau, and group-based treatment, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Family Therapy.

**Our Teams:**
  • Tautawhi: Provides choice appointment initial assessments, brief interventions, consult liaison to the inpatient wards at Hutt Hospital, and support at crisis assessments undertaken by the Crisis Resolution Service.
  • Kaiarahi: Delivers longer-term treatment and extended assessment following initial assessment.
