About The Position

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Intellectual Disability Service based at Wakari Hospital. As a member of the Community Liaison Team, you will play a pivotal role in the support and rehabilitation of care recipients both in the inpatient ward and in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment, planning, and delivery of effective clinical psychology interventions for patients.
  • Liaising extensively with other clinical psychologists within the organisation.
  • Ensuring the continued wellbeing of your clients through individual and group therapies.

About You

  • You should have a sound knowledge of clinical psychology assessment and interventions, with relevance to intellectual disability as well as mental health.
  • Your communication skills will be of the highest standard, allowing you to relate to the clients, their families, and other health professionals.

Requirements

  • You must be a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the NZ Psychologist's Board.
  • Hold a current practising certificate.
  • Have a NZ driver licence.
