About the Role
A key opportunity has arisen for a skilled Child and Youth Psychiatrist to lead our specialist mental health service for 14-18 year olds in Dunedin. This role is pivotal in providing assessment and treatment while working collaboratively with the primary health sector, education, and NGO sectors.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in Child and Youth Care settings, you will have a personal commitment to maintaining high standards of practice and an unequivocal dedication to working as part of a team. Your ability to provide clinical leadership and reliable medical input to the multi-disciplinary team is essential to this position.
You will be responsible for supervision and training of registrars and participating in an on-call roster providing after-hours coverage for the Southern region. Fellowship with the RANZCP or equivalent is necessary, and you must be eligible for registration with the NZ Medical Council. A full driver's licence is also required for this role.
