As a Solution Architect with the Department of Internal Affairs, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across various government agencies.

About Us

We are part of the Digital Public Service Branch, responsible for delivering services to or for the public sector. Our portfolio includes digital products and ICT services that standardize and consolidate agency ICT infrastructure and services.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop solution architecture for projects aligned with business outcomes, recognized good practices, strategies, and agreed principles.
  • Establish strong relationships across the department and with external stakeholders to achieve trusted advisor status.
  • Ratify solution architectures and designs with relevant governance bodies and senior leaders.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience as a solution architect with expertise in technical domains such as data, software, infrastructure, integration, and cloud.
  • Thorough understanding of Architecture development frameworks, architecture modeling, principles, and good practices, including All-of-Government standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think 'architecturally' about strategy and business environment.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

Salary Range: NZD 120,000 - 150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
