About This Role
We are seeking an experienced professional in kaupapa Maori research and evaluation to lead our efforts in improving outcomes for Maori. In this role, you will undertake, support, and commission research and evaluation activities that promote Maori safety and recovery from injury. You will take a leadership role in strengths-based Maori research and evaluation, applying your knowledge of Matauranga Maori, tikanga, and te reo. This will involve presenting and communicating kaupapa Maori insights to colleagues, senior management, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of Maori-centred research and evaluation strategies.
  • Provide expertise in kaupapa Maori research and evaluation to inform operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning and prioritization of work.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in Maori-centred and/or kaupapa Maori research and evaluation, as well as experience in developing and delivering high-quality research and evaluation activities. You will also have demonstrated ability to engage at all levels, including with whanau, hapu, iwi, and hapori, and use te reo Maori, Matauranga Maori, and tikanga across similar contexts.
