The Avoca Group has a proud 80-year history as a respected family business, renowned for technical expertise in lime and customised fertiliser blends and applications. The organisation employs a team of 30 across the North Island, with quarries and/or depots located strategically to serve its customers.

Job Description

This key position will report directly to the General Manager and core accountabilities will include:

  • Growth in sales and market share
  • Leadership and coordination of Sales Representatives (currently 11)
  • Customer relationships and retention
  • Stewardship of the sales process from initial enquiry to delivery
  • Sales and Marketing Strategy

Required Skills and Qualifications

Ideally you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 3 years proven experience managing a small or medium sized sales team
  • A sound understanding of farming and/or the agri sector
  • Self-confidence in communication and networking at all levels
  • Computer competence (Word, Excel)
  • A high level of influence over the performance of the business (sales growth, margins, market share, business development, staff development)
