Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Drug And Alcohol Clinician to join our addictions team at Wakari Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assessments, treatment plans, and ongoing support to clients with substance use issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide new assessments and ongoing treatment to clients with substance use issues
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, nursing)
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., NZ Psychologists Board, NZ Social Workers Registration Board)
  • Experience working with clients with substance use issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
