Child-Led Play Specialist

At Ohaupo Playcentre, we believe that every child deserves a nurturing and supportive environment where they can learn and grow at their own pace. As a session leader, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of tamariki and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering learning experiences that promote child-led play and exploration
- Serving as a role model and mentor for tamariki and adults alike
- Working closely with our centre team to ensure seamless delivery of services
Requirements include:
- A Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an early childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to achieve this
Desirable skills and experience include:
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Whāriki and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- A passion for empowering and engaging with all whānau to feel a sense of belonging
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use technology
