**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water supply Engineer/ Network Planner/ Modeller to join our team at Wellington Water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and operate Drinking Water hydraulic models
  • Contribute to the development of operations and capex proposals
  • Provide technical advice to network operations, planning, engineering, and asset management teams
  • Conduct thorough technical reviews (peer review) of outsourced model build projects and master planning studies
  • Support strategic network planning and development control
  • Utilise calibrated hydraulic models to assess network performance against levels of service
  • Project manage external model build contracts

About You:

  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (for example, Civil or Environmental Engineering)
  • At least 10 years' experience in Drinking water hydraulic modelling
  • Modelling project management experience
  • A continuous improvement mindset with strong data analytics skills
  • Proven ability to innovate and implement new modelling techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring
